Career First Programme
At Matheson, we are committed to enhancing access into the legal profession for undergraduate students. Our Career First Programme is our first fully social mobility-focused initiative exclusively open to first and second year undergraduate students
on the Higher Education Access Route (HEAR) and on the Disability Access Route to Education (DARE) schemes.
This dedicated six-month programme will support you to succeed in your academic studies through a customised skills development programme and an assigned mentor from Matheson.
What's Involved?
The Career First Programme will give you an insight into the work we do at Matheson, and how a leading internationally-focused law firm operates, through a series of customised training sessions and first-hand experience, including:
- A two-part introductory session at Matheson in April;
- A one-week work experience placement in our offices in July; and
- A one-day skills-based workshop in October to fully understand the skills necessary for success.
