Sally Anne is Head of the Commercial Real Estate Department at Matheson and leads the international real estate practice as well as the occupier advisory and transaction practices. She is an accomplished and commercially focused lawyer with over 10 years’ experience in large scale acquisitions and disposals; site development; commercial landlord and tenant; real estate investment, commercial real estate aspects of corporate transactions, including the sale and purchase of both private and public companies; and advising owner/occupiers on the acquisition of office, industrial, manufacturing, and technical/data centre premises.

Sally Anne advises both landlords and occupiers on the largest and most significant real estate transactions in the Irish market. She has a breadth of experience in running sophisticated transactions and her in-depth knowledge of the market has resulted in her being first choice as trusted advisor to some of Ireland’s largest occupiers (both tenants and owner/occupiers) on the development, letting and ongoing management of their office and technical space. Sally Anne has advised one of the largest international tech giants for over 10 years in respect of all its real estate requirements in Ireland.

Sally Anne has been involved in many of the landmark transactions across Dublin. She is project lead on several of Dublin’s largest development projects advising on site acquisitions, estate set-up, development, letting and sale of commercial and residential/ PRS assets. She also advises several Irish and non- Irish institutional investors on the acquisition of large scale assets

Sally Anne has advised on many of the market’s major commercial real estate deals and some of the largest real estate transactions in Ireland in the last five years.

  • Acting for a number of high profile multinational IT product and service companies and other international businesses establishing their presence in Ireland in both prime Dublin city centre and other regional locations varying in size from 20,000 to 200,000 square foot.
  • Advising a leading Investment Bank on the acquisition of over 150,000 square feet of office space in a prime location and continuing to advise on their further expansion plans in Dublin.
  • Advising a high profile international online retailer on the continued expansion of its property portfolio in Ireland including an Agreement for Lease and Lease of an office premises which completed in the second quarter of 2017 and has been described as by far the largest in Dublin for several years.
  • Advising a number of global technology giants on the acquisition and letting of lands for the development of the largest data centres in Ireland.
  • Advising Zendesk on the letting of its new EMEA headquarters at 55 Charlemont.
  • Advising Autodesk on the pre-letting of its EMEA office headquarters at 1 WML in the SOBO District on Dublin’s South Quays.
  • Advising on the acquisition of a fully let office block for a consideration of €50 million.
  • Advising Oxley Holding and Ballymore Group on the ongoing development of Dublin landing which will include over 600,000 square feet of office space, more than 300 residential units for sale, number of retail and restaurant units, public amenities and new city streets.
  • Advising Ballymore Group / Oxley Holdings on the pre-letting of the entire of No. 2 Dublin Landings to WeWork and the sale of No.2 Dublin Landings to a Korean Investment Fund.
  • Advised Ballymore Group / Oxley Holdings on the sale of the entire of No 1 Dublin Landings to a German Pension Fund.
  • Advising on the property aspects of the purchase by Brown Forman of Slane Castle Irish Whiskey Limited from the Mount Charles Family (Project Emerald) and is continuing to advise Brown Forman on all real estate matters in connection with their state of the art whiskey distillery in Slane Castle, Co. Meath.
  • Acting for a number of high profile multinational IT product and service companies and other international businesses establishing their presence in Ireland in both prime Dublin city centre and other regional locations varying in size from 20,000 to 200,000 square foot.
  • Advising eBay in taking new leases in the Dublin suburbs as part of its ongoing expansion.
  • Acting for a number of global telecommunications companies (including Verizon and Three) in all of their landlord and tenant matters.
  • Acting for a number of high profile global pharmaceutical companies in the leasing of office space in the Dublin suburbs, and advising on all other landlord and tenant and property matters generally.
  • Advising Macquarie Asset Management in relation to its agreement to acquire the Beacon Hospital in Dublin, subject to customary regulatory approvals.
