After a volatile political journey, the Council of the European Union, on 24 May 2024, finally endorsed the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive. The text of this directive, which will be published in the Official Journal of the European Union, will enter into force 20 days after its publication. EU member states will then have two years to transpose the new rules into national law. Read more here.
