The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission ("CCPC") has recently developed a set of guidelines to assist providers of long-term residential care services to comply with their obligations arising from The European Communities (Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts) Regulations 1995 (the "Regulations").
Whilst focussed on contracts for care in nursing homes, the guidelines demonstrate generally the enforcement priorities of the CCPC in respect of the Unfair Terms Regulations.
