The Irish Government recently published the largest spending package in Ireland’s history as part of Budget 2021.
Fortunately for stakeholders in the infrastructure industry, one of the main objectives of the Budget 2021 package is to stimulate Irish economic growth through capital investment. For the first time in recent memory, the Irish Government has responded to economic turmoil (this time as a result of COVID-19) by increasing capital spending on projects that will be realised in the medium term (in many cases beyond the term of the current Government).
